Climate protection manager

Thomas Krauße has been the City of Gera's climate protection manager since April 2019. The position was established and funded as part of a project funded by the National Climate Initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment (project period April 2019 to August 2022). Since September 2022, the position has been funded by the Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation.

  • Coordination of climate protection and climate adaptation measures to support the implementation of measures from the Energy and climate protection concept the city Gera
     
  • Advising politicians and administration, industry, trade and citizens on all issues relating to climate protection
     
  • Public relations and networking / stakeholder participation
     
  • Activation of funding opportunities
