The Thuringian State Office for Statistics (TLS) offers extensive options for researching regional population data.
The source of the data is the Thuringian State Office for Statistics (TLS) and the municipal population register. Due to different updating procedures, the figures from both sources differ.
The TLS publishes the official population figures for people registered as having their main residence in the city of Gera and evaluates this data at a city-wide level.
The data from the population register includes all persons registered as having their main or secondary residence in the city of Gera. The total number is referred to as the "resident population". The data from the municipal population register is available earlier and can be presented at the level of the 12 statistical districts and 72 municipal districts.
