Advance on maintenance
The Youth Welfare Office grants single mothers or fathers who receive little or no maintenance from the parent obliged to pay maintenance a state maintenance advance payment in accordance with the Maintenance Advance Act (Unterhaltsvorschussgesetz - UhVorschG), which generally has to be repaid by the parent obliged to pay maintenance plus interest.
