Shareholdings

The Investments division is responsible for managing

  • the companies in a legal form under private law in which the City of Gera has a direct interest,
  • the memberships of the City of Gera in special-purpose associations,
  • the sponsorship of the Gera-Greiz joint savings bank.

The administrative work relates in particular to

  • exercising the rights and obligations of the City of Gera as a shareholder, association member or sponsor,
  • the establishment, acquisition, dissolution and transformation of companies,
  • preparing the necessary documents for informing the City Council and its committees and for their decisions,
  • preparing the full-time representatives of the City of Gera for meetings of the companies' governing bodies,
  • preparing the annual investment report.
