Data transfer from the population registers to public authorities
Since May 1, 2022, data from the population register may only be made available to authorities and other public bodies in accordance with Section 34 (2) BMG by means of automated data retrieval or electronic data transmission.

The processing of written or telephone inquiries from public authorities to obtain information from the population register is therefore no longer permitted.
The technical and infrastructural prerequisites for automated data retrieval have been created in Thuringia at the Thuringian State Computer Center (TLRZ) as the central office.
Access to the automated retrieval system is via registration and connection to the information system at the TLRZ.Click here for the Thuringian information system
